Junior Board
The mission of the Shades of Pink Foundation (SOPF) Junior Board is to advance the Foundation’s mission of reducing financial stress for individuals undergoing breast cancer treatment in Southeast Michigan by cultivating the next generation of advocates, donors, and leaders.
The Junior Board supports the Board of Directors through education, engagement, and philanthropy by:
• Educating members and the broader community about SOPF’s impact and mission to provide prompt financial assistance for daily living expenses to breast cancer patients
• Recruiting and developing future supporters, volunteers, and leaders committed to sustaining SOPF’s long-term impact
• Planning and hosting one annual fundraising event in support of SOPF’s programs and services
• Identifying and cultivating at least one prospective donor lead annually for consideration by the Development Committee, strengthening SOPF’s donor pipeline and community partnerships
Through these efforts, the Junior Board serves as a bridge between SOPF’s current leadership and the next generation of champions dedicated to ensuring that no individual faces financial hardship as a result of a breast cancer diagnosis.
Julianna Di Pasquo
Julianna is a personal injury defense attorney at Garan Lucow Miller, PC. She received her J.D. from Wayne State University Law School in 2025. Prior to law school, she graduated from The University of Guelph with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Family and Youth Studies.
Julianna has a strong commitment to community involvement and service. She actively volunteers at the Michigan Humane Society. During university, she frequently volunteered at the Guelph Student Food Bank and served as a volunteer note taker for students with learning disabilities throughout both university and law school.
As a Junior Board Member of SOPF, Julianna hopes to contribute to initiatives that provide meaningful support and resources to individuals within the Southeast Michigan community.
Aadeesh Iyer
Aadeesh graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's degree in Human Biology and a minor in Bioethics, and is currently in his gap year on the path to becoming a physician. Deliberate from the start, he built his foundation in medicine by seeking meaningful exposure to people of every age and background, believing that compassion and empathy must be practiced and earned.
Over the last couple of years, that intention has shaped every role he chose. Aadeesh has worked as a Patient Care Technician at a retirement home, coached middle and high school robotics teams, worked one-on-one with children with autism as an ABA therapist, and served as a crisis counselor for individuals experiencing acute mental health crises. Most recently, he joined the Wayne Community Health Mobile, bringing primary care services to those who might otherwise go without.
Aadeesh's connection to Shades of Pink is personal. His aunt's courageous battle with breast cancer, and her victory over it, gave him an intimate understanding of the weight a diagnosis places on a patient and everyone who loves them. That experience is what brought him to the Junior Board.
Cameron Jajonie
Cameron is a recent graduate of Wayne State University Law School and will begin his legal career as a commercial litigation attorney at Foley & Lardner LLP, where he will represent many of the country’s leading businesses and Fortune 500 companies. He also earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Business Law from the Wayne State University Mike Ilitch School of Business.
Cameron is committed to service and giving back to the Metro Detroit community where he was raised. That perspective was shaped by growing up in a close-knit immigrant community and alongside his twin brother, who has autism. He has remained involved through local volunteer work, church youth programs, food pantry initiatives, and community outreach.
Cameron joined the Shades of Pink Foundation because its mission is personal to him. His mother is a breast cancer survivor, and his aunt passed away after a courageous 23-year battle with cancer. He is deeply grateful for the opportunity to support SOPF’s mission.
Cameron enjoys playing sports, especially basketball, following Detroit sports teams, hiking, spending time outdoors, and being with family and friends.
Zouhra Saab
Zouhra Saab is a Michigan attorney whose practice focuses on administrative, employment, and professional liability matters, with a background in public health and catastrophic injury litigation.
She earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, and her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from the University of Michigan, where she studied Political Science and Public Health. She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health, continuing to build on her interest in the systems that impact health, safety, and access to care.
During her undergraduate years, Zouhra was actively involved in campus and community organizations, including Circle K International, the Arab Student Union, and the American Disability Association. Through these roles, she was involved in service initiatives, community outreach, and advocacy efforts, with a focus on supporting underserved communities and increasing awareness around public health and accessibility issues.
Karli Smith
Karli Smith is a junior board member of the Shades of Pink Foundation. She is a recent graduate
of Michigan State University, where she earned her degree in Medical Laboratory Science on a
pre-medical track.
Karli currently works as a medical assistant at an allergist office, Michigan Allergy and Asthma,
where she supports patient care and gains hands-on clinical experience. She also has prior
experience working as a nurse aide in the intensive care unit, where she assisted in caring for
patients in critical care settings.
She plans to pursue a career in medicine and continue building experience in both clinical and
patient-centered care. In her free time, Karli enjoys spending time outdoors, being with family
and friends and volunteering with various organizations.
Shea Timko
Shea is a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Trinity Health Oakland in Pontiac, Michigan. He completed his Associate's Degree in Nursing at Oakland Community College before going on to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from the University of Detroit Mercy.
Shea's involvement with the Shades of Pink Foundation grew from a desire to serve his community and provide meaningful support to those in need. As a Junior Board member and active participant on the Community Outreach Subcommittee, he has worked to broaden the foundation's reach by establishing connections with local city councils to advance outreach efforts and support the organization's continued growth.
Outside of work, Shea is actively involved in CrossFit, where he appreciates both the rigor of the training and the commitment it takes to continually grow and improve. The community aspect is equally meaningful to him, and there is nothing more rewarding than watching others reach their own fitness goals. In his personal time, he also enjoys discovering new restaurants throughout the Metro Detroit area and has developed a growing passion for travel.
