A Night at the Ballpark

A Night at the Ballpark 2017 Was a Great Success, raising more than $9,000!

A Night at the Ballpark was a huge success and we would like to thank everyone who attended and/or donated. Don Schiano showcased his skill as he threw in the ceremonial first pitch and it was all fun and games from there!  Special thanks to our volunteers Vicki Lamers, Cindy Nagy, and Lindsay Lundquist.  My nieces, Gabriella and Sophia Bial were also there to help distribute raffle prizes and helped clean up after the event.  We couldn’t do what we do without our volunteers.
I hope you were all able to stop by the raffle table where Linda Plumhoff of Angel of Grace Awareness Bracelets displayed her beautiful jewelry. Linda donated part of her proceeds to SOPF.
For me, the highlight of the evening came as we were getting ready to leave. Katrina Brooks was the big winner for the raffle, winning a massage to Total Health, backstage pass to see Mojo in the Morning, and Lotto Maddness. Katrina and I shared a tear or two as she told us how this couldn’t have come at a better time in her life as her family was going through a lot of stress. I am proud that SOPF played a part in bringing some brightness to their lives.
Raffle prizes were donated by Total Health Systems, USPBL, Greystone Golf Club and Banquet Center, Gardner White Furniture, Detroit Tigers, Kwietneiwski Family, Martel Family, and the Sciullo Family.

We will definitely be hosting another Night at the Ballpark in 2018!  Stay tuned for a Save-the-Date announcement!
